Google Romania (google.ro) was hacked this morning (+2 GMT)

Update: google.ro is back online since 10:00 AM (+2 GMT). Security enthusiasts claim that this was a DNS Hijack attack, affecting users from Romanian ISPs (Romtelecom users saw the hacked screen, RDS couldn’t connect at all). For more information click the following link:

google.ro and yahoo.ro were defaced, not hacked.

Google Romania (google.ro) was hacked on the 28th of november 2012 by the Algerian hacker MCA-CRB. The action took place shortly after a Romanian hacking community (knows as RST) was caught by the FBI in collaboration with the Romanian Police. Their servers were confiscated from the hosting service provider leaving a lot of bloggers offline.

Right after google.ro was hacked, Google suspended the page, leaving it offline. They might try to redirect the domain to google.com for e brief period of time. I’ll come back with more details.
